The 'Splendor' vintage Turkish runner is an extremely rare rug from the Kurdish region. This texture, color combination and long size are very difficult to find.  All the wool in this magnificent rug is natural undyed wool. The Splendor has a plush pile giving it a delightful feeling underfoot. This rug is sure to make a timeless statement in a space and will surely be a conversation piece with depth and history. Every symbol in tribal rugs signifies a meaning and is a way that the weavers are able to tell a story through their art. The diamonds on this rug signify the eye pattern and the symbolism is for warding off evil and bringing good luck. The checkered diamond pattern signifies fertility and on the one end of the rug, there are two human figures woven into the rug which likely represent the two women who crafted this beautiful rug entirely by hand.
